Tangled and Tissues...

Tangled
What is it with children's movies these days or is it just me? The Silver Fox had boot-scooted off to clean up Briz Vegas so I took the Tweenies to see a movie. We went to see Tangled, the new Disney movie. You think it would be safe wouldn't you? I mean we all know the plot and the outcome don't we - timeless classic: long hair, evil witch, happy ending..... I think every kid's movie I have seen lately reduces me to floods of tears.  Is it because they are r-e-a-l-l-y touching? Or is it because I am turning soppy in my old age. Note to self: 1. Bring tissues - wads of them. 2. No sobbing - I've been told it is w-a-y embarrassing to my children......

Ciao for now

just Martha

  2. LOL! My 13 year old granddaughter and I have been known to cry quite a lot at the cinema!! Have a good weekend, and I hope that the clean up operation is going well.

  3. I think something happens when you have kids - your emotions go into overdrive. I cried watching Anne of Green Gables yesterday - and it wasn't even the sad bit!!

  4. Years ago when ET came out I had to wait until the cinema had emptied out before I could go outside I cried so much!

  5. Join the club ... I'm almost 70 and still cry (sometimes uncontrollably) at sad movies. If a commercial on TV is sad, I get a little teary-eyed.

  7. Miss Martha and I saw it today and LOVED it! Didn't cry in this one but I do admit I sobbed away in Toy story 3 though.
