just Back...

Image
Aaah.

Very good for the soul. A little bit of family.

And yes.
I got the lamb roast I was salivating after. Cooked just for me. By my heavenly brother in law. He is good to me. I was grateful let me tell you.

I was smothered by my niece and nephew. Hugs, kisses, stories galore...

I stayed the night and was awoken by a face at the door in the morning. My sister. So we nattered away for a while in our pyjamas. Like we used to do.
My brother-in-law and I dropped the kiddies off to school and then he drove my back to my conference.

The Silver Fox had come home on Friday night and we spent the weekend together. I can't tell you how divine it was to be away and knowing all was great in my home. Master T said he and his Dad fought a lot. He clarified by saying 'wrestled a lot'. Right. All was as it should be.

Oh, my conference was great too. But family was definitely the highlight.

So, feel free. Take a smile. I am giving them away for free. Take a couple if you wish...

 Ciao for now...

Family...

I just l-o-v-e my family!! In my 'Family Room' I have photos galore of us all. I even have a h-u-g-e 1.5 m x 1.3m canvas on the wall of my little foursome. The Silver Fox is coming home for the weekend! Yay! We can't wait.

Have a great day...

Family Moments...

I have had this week off. Hooray!! It is so heavenly spending time with my gorgeous children. Being able to relax and take deep breaths. I am not usually the 'fun' parent so we have done grocery, school uniform, school shoe shopping and the gutting of bedrooms. But. We have also had bike rides, indoor rock climbing, friends sleep over, swimming, movies..... All with Mummy! I think I'm a 'cool' Mum. In fact I know I am but apparently general consensus is that I'm not. How rude! I know I am way cooler than, say, my Mum was but, alas, maybe that is the quandary that is parenthood. Maybe no parent is cool in their children's eyes... Their friends think I am cool though so that will have to do.

Today sees us heading to Byron Bay before Miss T has a sleep over at a friends house and Master T and I go either for a run or a long bike ride. I have had to get out the spatula most mornings to remove the Tweenies from their beds. I guess they are a bit exhausted from all the 'fun'. I must admit it is very nice not to be ruled by the clock with everyone out of the house by 7.50am! So dear Bloggers, enjoy your day... What are your plans? Want to come along with us?...

Family Time?...

Bit cloudy but not too hot...
My boys...
Who can resist?...

Well, it is the last day of this holiday for me but I will be taking a bit of time off later in January. What to do today? The sun is shining which is a rare treat so was off to the beach for a bit of body surfing with the family.  A couple of hours, lots of sunscreen and me under the brolly for a good part of it. The boys might go to the bmx park later too. I l-o-v-e family time...

Nice day for it. Not too sunny so not too hot. Then it will be time to take down the tree. It seems a chore doesn't it after all the celebrations? It will probably be just me as it isn't quite so exciting as putting it up.
What are you doing today?

Bye For Now...

weheartit

Well, it is time to say good bye to the big guy.  LJ (sister) and her heavenly family have just headed home. There were a few tears, as usual, at saying goodbye. The cousins got on fabulously and the age gap seems to be getting less as they get older and have similar interests. It was wonderful watching them all mix in together. Nothing like family is there? I quite like the people my family have become. Good food, good conversation, good times.

Thanks for making the effort, and the memories guys....

Bike-Push...

gettyimages

Well, it started off okay. Prior to departure 1 flat front tyre. New inner tube on hand and some elbow grease from the Silver Fox and all g-o-o-d. Off we went, family bike ride with an over-eager Master T and a very under-eager Miss T. Riding along on my pushbike honey when............ pffsssttt........... flat rear tyre for me!!!! Sooooooooooo, needed to push at a run / walk / run pace for 4 kms. No worries!!!Easy. Last time I had a flat tyre I was taking Master T to a soccer game so we really needed to be on time. Only problem was we were 8 kms from the field!!! That was a bit of a challenge let me tell you. In fact, I don't have a great record with bikes. I have had 4 flat tyres and 1 chain fall off!!! So, now we might squeeze in a nice afternoon on the couch to relax. "Meet the Fockers" anyone....
